A priest of indeterminate gender, covered in metal bindings and ornamentation such that not an inch of skin remains on display, stands at the pulpit of an austere and roofless church. The lack of a mouth on the severe, thick golden mask does not impede their booming voice as they preach of the Seventh Celestial, Apahida, who was and is Preservation. Centuries or perhaps even millennia have passed since the Second Suns took power, and the Gilded have kept the orthodoxy alive - which is to say, preserved.

Notes

Worship of Apahida is found across Aa'an, but the Gilded are a special breed of zealot. They have the strongest presence in Heacai, to the east - indeed, they have near-total control of the continent - but they can be found, rarely, elsewhere in the world. Their presence is occasionally tolerated, rarely welcomed (save for among the most devout Apahidans).
