Hooded figures, eyes shimmering with an ethereal, unearthly light. They pass into a remote villa, guarded by a wrought-iron gate engraved with a trio of overlapping circles: Nihione, Ildir, and Osaze; the lunar three-in-one; the Dark Triad of the High Wilderness. Legends say that the greatest mages are birthed under the conjunction of the three full moons. It is from these children that the Triumvirate conscripts its apprentices - with or without consent.

Notes

The Triumvirate holds a "legitimate" monopoly on "true magic." They are the magical authority across all of Aa'an, operating out of chapter houses around the world - and possibly from a centralized location, though their internal hierarchy is highly secretive. Despite their (presumed) small numbers, they have an eerily-ubiquitous presence anywhere power is to be found.
